Gradient Labs

At Gradient Labs, we're building the AI customer operations platform for financial services.

Founded in 2023, we now work with some of the biggest names in banking and fintech. Our platform runs specialist agents, purpose-built for financial services, to eliminate manual work across customer support and back-office operations. Together, they give product and operations teams the visibility and control to trust every outcome.

We're a team of builders from companies like Monzo, Wise, Mastercard, Revolut and Google. If you're excited to tackle some of the hardest problems in AI and help shape the future of customer operations, we'd love to hear from you.

🎯 How you'll make an impact

  • This is a true 0-1 role where you’ll own product across the full experience.

  • You’ll partner directly with our Head of Product as Gradient's first dedicated PM hire, with real scope to shape the roadmap and vision.

  • You’ll be translating ambiguous, technically complex problems, e.g. reasoning about how our AI agents actually work, into clear, shippable priorities.

  • You’ll partner closely with engineers to understand trade-offs across surfaces and make well-reasoned product calls, not just manage a backlog.

  • You’ll bring structure to problems that are still being figured out, in the spirit of a "special projects" remit - you'll be thrown at the hardest, least-defined parts of the business.

  • You’ll set and hold a high bar for what "great" looks like, we want someone who will be raising the product bar and pushing the team past "good enough" on every release.

💡 What you'll bring

  • A track record of taking on ambiguous, 0-1 problems and driving them to a shipped outcome - whether at an early-stage startup, or in a larger scale company, you’ll be comfortable pivoting to new areas across the business.

  • Genuine technical curiosity and comfort reasoning about how an AI agent workflow actually works, even without prior AI product experience.

  • Evidence of fast progression - we’re open to someone earlier in their Product journey if they have a proven pattern of being thrown into unfamiliar territory and figuring it out quickly, rather than staying comfortable.

  • An unrealistically high personal bar for what "great" looks like, and a track record of pushing past what's merely reasonable.

  • Strong communication skills - you can explain your reasoning, adapt to different types of problems, and bring people along with you.

Why join Gradient Labs?

This is a unique chance to be part of a team working with cutting-edge technology to reshape how businesses will operate in the future. Over the next 10 years, every company will need to embrace AI-powered operations to stay competitive, and this role puts you right in the middle of that transformation.

You'll tackle challenging and new problems, work with some of the most exciting brands across different industries, and be surrounded by a passionate, smart team that's driven to build something groundbreaking.
