How you’ll make an impact:

Dataiku is on the hunt for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to help push our Data Science Platform to the next level. This role is open in France, the UK, Germany, Spain or the Netherlands.

You'd be joining the "xOps theme," which is basically about all operationalization capabilities of the Data Science Platform. Think deploying machine learning models on all sorts of infrastructure, both our own (Linux, K8S) and external ones (AWS Sagemaker, Google Vertex AI, Azure ML, Databricks, Snowflake), getting data transformation pipelines running, keeping an eye on deployments, evaluating ML models, LLMs, or Agents, and a bunch of other cool features that help our customers build rock-solid, production-ready apps that really get value out of their data.

In this role, the TPM will be key in figuring out user stories based on market needs, managing the prioritized product backlog, and making sure features get delivered smoothly.

You'll report directly to the VP of Engineering for this theme and will be working closely every day with the Director of Engineering who leads the technical team, other TPMs, product managers, UI/UX designers, data scientists, and engineers.

We need someone who can strike a great balance between deep technical knowledge and solid business sense—you'll be the voice of the customer within our engineering team.

We're seeking a candidate who is genuinely excited about the current wave of Generative AI, LLMs, Agents, Data Science, and who remains humble and always eager to learn.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the undisputed expert on product capabilities for your product area
  • Collaborate closely with the product management team to build the backlog and prioritize the next features
  • Own the product backlog. Defining and prioritizing the backlog with product stakeholders and engineering leaders.
  • Define user stories and specifications
  • Create internal documentation about the new features: feature deck, internal demo videos…
  • Follow up on the development of the features
  • Participate in building the roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to create the content about new features.

What you need to be successful

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field or equivalent
  • 5 years of related work experience in software engineering teams either as a product owner/manager, software engineer, or even DevOps/SRE
  • Previous work in (or with) production-minded teams (IT, ITOps, DevOps, SRE..)
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Experience developing professional products and technologies
  • Strong interest in Data and Machine Learning
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

Bonus points:

  • Previous experience in Data and Machine Learning
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing.
  • Working knowledge of one or more Cloud-based machine learning platforms (Google Vertex, AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, Databricks or Snowflake)
